What to see:
This fantastic viewpoint is located at the top of the Serra de les Llançanes mountain range, overlooking Ribera d’Alp Valley and facing north.
The area of metamorphic rocks is surrounded by pasturelands, where -particularly during the warmer months- you’ll find herds of cows and horses grazing among areas of coniferous forests, especially Scots pine and some deciduous trees.
This viewpoint offers a great vantage point for viewing Alp Valley, and if the rocks could talk, there’s no doubt they could tell you many interesting stories. This small valley that rises to La Molina was -and is- a historic path that connects Cerdanya with Ripollès through Collada de Toses, and with Berguedà through Coll de la Creueta. You’ll find the national road, the railway and the local road right below you!
It also goes without saying that the viewpoint gives you an amazing perspective of the forest on the northwest slope of Tosa d’Alp, with the village of Alp at the foot, and further on, a good part of the Cerdanya valley floor and the mountains surrounding Meranges Valley.
