Description

Building from the end of the 12th century whose apse, the beginning of the nave wall and the portal are preserved intact. On the façade there are two side chapels built in 1626 as indicated by a stone engraved with the name MORA. The bell tower dates from 1683, the year engraved on the lintel of the door at the foot of the tower. A building with defensive purposes stands on the Romanesque nave.

Inside, the mural paintings of the Baroque-style vault made in 1728 have been preserved, of which a small sample has now been left visible, awaiting its complete restoration. In addition, two granite baptismal fonts are preserved. The Romanesque portal consists of five semicircular archivolts decorated with numerous figures, monsters, men, animals and plants. The construction of the barrel vaulted porch bears the inscription ESCOBAYRO 1725. The door preserves Romanesque ironwork.

The church is declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest.
